Art Shmart

I see drawing and any art as a tool we all own to let something out, or in. So I use it as a way to connect to something in nature, seen or unseen, to let breathe a feeling that doesn’t have words, and to bring me home to myself. If it’s pretty, funny or adorable, that’s a happy bonus.

As for skills, I have studied here and there at the School of Visual Arts, Parsons/The New School and Salve Regina’s Expressive Arts program.

You can find me in Ithaca, NY, surrounded by two cats and a dog, trees and waterfalls, pens, papers and an iPad. Say hi at maryschiavone@gmail.com.
